The food Comparitor

This week our baby is about the size of a large head of cauliflower. He or she now weighs about 2 pounds and is around 14 1/2 inches long. I could say that I don't believe it but Monica will tell you differently. The baby stays up late kicking and rolling around as if it were preparing for the next Olympics. Although it's April the last few days here in Kansas have brought some snow and rain and a lot of wind. We walked 2 1/2 miles on Saturday morning at the MS Walk and Monica did great and probably could have done the full 5 mile walk if it were a little warmer. The coming weeks will surely bring warmer weather and we plan on getting out and getting some exercise.

There have been a few updates to the nursery since the last posting. We found a bookcase and a small table to go along side the glider and added some shelving and an extra pole for hanging clothes in the closet. Monica and I have agreed that the nursery is by far the best room in the house and we have both found ourselves sitting and dreaming in there. We are stocking up on wipes and have a few outfits in various sizes that we have picked up and that Joyce or Marilyn have bought for the baby. We have found that it's very hard to escape a clothing store without picking up something. It seems that there is a never ending list of items that the "experts" tell you that you have to have. We are chipping away at this list but we are very certain that even if we don't have every item on that list our baby will be loved more than we can even imagine. He or she will have all of the Grandparents, Parent's, Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, and friends that anyone will ever need to provide that.

At Joyce's request I have attached the picture of the most recent food based comparison of our baby's size. Pick a cauliflower up this week when you are in the grocery store and pretend that it is a baby. If you find yourself singing a lullaby you may not be alone. Look over at the ears of corn and see if there is anyone that is at 24 weeks.
