Well as of today we have 10 weeks and 5 days to go! Hooray! We are getting very anxious to meet our new wee one!
We put together the baby bath seat that Meredith and Ryan Kirkpatrick bought us for a gift and put it in the bathtub to see how it would look. I think it is going to work out perfectly...as best I can tell having never bathed a baby before :-)
We have finished the nursery except for one more coat of paint on a small side table that will go next to the glider. The room is so comfy. We find ourselves wandering in just to sit and talk for awhile. I think Baby H will really like it! We will put updated pictures on here soon.
We had our hospital tour last Friday and found out a lot of helpful information. We are delivering at Menorah which is just down the street from both my Mom, Dad, and Marilyn. Very convenient for the grandparents! The hospital seems very friendly, clean, and secure. Those are all very important to us.
We did our first load of "baby laundry" last night with Dreft. It smells soooo good! We couldn't stop smelling it. I felt like we were in one of those FeBreeze commercials. We kept laughing at each other as we were catching each other smelling baby smell! :-)
Baby H is moving furniture left and right these days. I think things are getting a little cramped for him/her. At 3lbs and 17 inches long I can only imagine! The crazy part is I still have 10 1/2 more weeks to GROW! YIKES!!!
Daddy and Mommy are doing great otherwise and looking forward to our 4 week delivery class coming up next month, our infant CPR class, our baby basics 101 class, and our breast feeding class. We have continued to read the books we have been given and are getting close to the end of some of them but are trying to be as educated as possible. I really think the best education will be hands on!
Hope everyone is doing well and Happy Earth Day on Wednesday!

I still can't believe you're only 10 weeks away! That's so exciting! I can't wait to meet HER ;) He! He! (I just had to put that!)
ReplyDeleteYou guys sound like you really have it together (this doesn't surprise me at all!). We are so excited to meet our little niece!
ReplyDeleteThis is a comment from Melissa...
ReplyDeleteI use to love smelling the Dreft over and over too. When I went back to work I started washing my clothes in Dreft so I could smell Grace when I was away from her. :-)
Enjoy the last 10 weeks. You kind of miss that kicking around when it is gone. I remember having little gas flutters and instinctively thinking it was the baby and then looked across the room where she was at going "That wasn't her she is over there!!!" Made me a little sad. You are never so connected to anything else in your entire life.
Delivery day note: Don't give the camera to Quentin. He will be so overwhelmed he will forget his own name let alone to take pictures. If you don't have someone else in there with you give it to a nurse. They are glad to help out with that.
