1st MOTHER'S DAY

As of today we have 8 more weeks until our due date. Monica's belly has been growing steadily and she looks great. We can now watch the baby move and are really looking forward to meeting him or her. At 32 weeks the average baby weighs 3 3/4 lbs and is almost 17 inches long. This week our baby is about the size of a cantaloupe! As hard as that is for me to believe I'm sure that Monica is very aware. In the last week or so she has had a little bit of a hard time getting up when she is sitting and I have been double checking to make sure that she is wearing matching shoes. I would be very surprised if she can see her feet past the cantaloupe. This will be the first Mother's day that Monica will celebrate as a mother and we are pretty excited. Next week we plan on packing the suitcase in preparation for our trip to the hospital. Can you believe that?! The Dr. told us during our visit this week that after 34 weeks she will not stop labor if it starts and we will go to the hospital and have the baby. It won't be long and the package that we have all been waiting so long for will have finally arrived.

I've also been informed through reputable sources that because we are married I should not be referred to as the baby's daddy but as the baby's father. So, those of you who were confused you now have clarification.
