We are officially under 100 days until our due date! We took a short trip last weekend, some call it a babymoon, and drove to Omaha, Nebraska. We wanted to get away together before the baby is born and while Monica is still comfortable enough to ride in the car. We spent all day Saturday enjoying the warm weather and were even able to have lunch outside at a European cafe. We had massages and did some shopping before going back to our hotel to relax. Saturday evening we were lucky enough to get some great tickets to see Bill Cosby not far from our hotel. Monica and I enjoyed the show but the baby wasn't so sure and kicked and moved through the second half of the show. Sunday we walked around the zoo and then headed home. It was a good weekend together before the third trimester and probably the most uncomfortable part of the pregnancy sets in in a couple of weeks. It was definitely worth the drive.
We have spent nights lately looking at and feeling the baby kick. We have been able to see it move more and more. Our next Dr. visit is next Tuesday so we look forward to hearing the baby's heartbeat again. Other than that, thankfully, there are really no new developments to share. According to babycenter.com the baby probably weighs around 1 1/2 lbs and is the size of a large rutabaga. So, if you're in the grocery store this week stop by the produce section and throw one on the scale to get a picture of our baby's size. For those of you that don't know what a rutabaga is, I'm sure there are many of you, its the big off white colored thing that looks like a smooth onion and is usually kept near the turnips.
Hope that's a washable marker :)

ReplyDeleteIs the question mark about the sex of the baby? Or is it to guess who's stomach it is? Quentin was putting on a few pounds :)
